Molasses Sugar Cookies

¾ C. Shortening – melted & cooled
Add: 1 C. Sugar, ¼ C. Molasses, 1 egg.
Mix well.
Add: 2 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp cloves, ½ tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp salt, 2 C. flour.
Mix well.
Roll into 1" balls and roll in sugar.
Bake at 375° on greased sheet for 8-10 minutes.

Monster Cookies

1 Dozen Eggs, 1 lb. Soft Margarine, 3 lbs. Peanut Butter, 4 cups Sugar, 2 lbs. Brown Sugar, 8 Tsp. Baking Soda, 1 Tablespoon Light Karo Syrup, 1 Tablespoon Vanilla, 18 cups Quick Oatmeal, 4 cups Chocolate Chips, 1 lb. M&M’s
Mix all together.

Spoon large tablespoons full of dough on greased cookie sheet (6 cookies per sheet) (In other words Make ‘Em BIG!)

Bake 14 minutes at 350 degrees.

Peanut Butter Cookies

½ cup Crisco, ½ cup margarine
Cream together.
Add and beat:
1 cup sugar, 1 cup brown sugar
Beat in:
2 eggs, 1 cup peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
Add and mix:
2 ½ cups flour, ½ tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder

Roll into balls and press down with a fork.

Bake at 375 10-12 minutes.

Quaker Famous Oat Meal Cookies

¾ cup Crisco, 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup sugar,
1 egg, ¼ cup water, 1 tsp. Vanilla.

Beat all together, then add:
3 cups oatmeal (mom usually uses the ‘quick’ oatmeal),
1 cup flour, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp baking soda.

Mix together. Add raisins or other tidbits as desired.

Bake on greased sheet at 350 for 12-15 minutes.

Snickerdoodles

Cream together:
1 C. shortening and 1 ½ C. sugar
Mix in 2 eggs
Mix in 2 tsp. Cream of tartar, 1 tsp. Baking soda, and ¼ tsp. Salt.
Mix in 2 ¾ C. flour.
Roll into balls and roll in a mixture of 2 T. sugar and 2 T. cinnamon.

Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes.

Chocolate Chip

Mix together:
1 C. Crisco, ¾ C. sugar, ¾ C. brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla extract.
Add 2 eggs and mix.
Mix in 2 ¼ C. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt.
Mix in 2 C. chocolate chips.

Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.

Sugar Cookies

1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
Cream together
Add 2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp soda mixed with small amount of warm water.
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla
Mix
Add 3 cups flour
Roll out and cut into desired shapes
Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes.
Banana Bread

1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup oil
2 ripe bananas, mashed

Combine 1st five ingredients in large bowl.
Combine remaining and add to dry mixture - stir until moistened
Pour in greased 9" X 5" loaf pan
Bake at 350 for approximately 45 minutes.  Cool and remove.
