Revelation Given Through W. Wallace Smith
Sunday, April 8, 1962

(As I understand it, the church rejected this revelation, therefore it did not become a part of the Doctrine and Covenants)

The scriptural records contain words, which are replete with instruction for the church. The church must move forward to implement these words as rapidly as possible. You must become more aware of disrupting forces in your midst and activities, which bring discord or allow you to expend wasteful energy. If ye abide in faith the end is known, for the Zionic process is part of the record.

The church was established to lead men from religious immaturity; it was established on firm principles that will endure. The leaders of the church must move on experience of the past; it cannot be ignored. All available resources, manpower, and material means must be utilized to establish the work of the Kingdom. These resources can be left undiscovered until too late.

My purposes will not be thwarted and evangelism should not be slow. The Council of Twelve should be relieved of certain specific assignments and should be free to go when sent by my Spirit. There has been much delay by the Presidents of the Seventies in the appointment of seventies not under full time appointment. The seventies are admonished to prosecute the missionary work so far as possible. I the Lord am not pleased with the procrastination of the seventy. The spirit of lethargy is abroad and insidious forces are at work from within.

The elders are also admonished to take this counsel. There is no greater honor than to be instruments of the Holy Spirit and have the keys to spiritual gifts. The elders have the power to cause the work to rise or fall. My yoke is easy and my burdens light when ye are diligent and not slothful. Even the Melchesidec priesthood can be influenced by the evil designs of scheming men. Satan is moving in many guises and only constant adherence to the gospel can allow my purposes to move among my people. This is only possible when you open your hearts to me. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Go ye therefore, teaching the gospel to all men, baptizing them in my name.

I have spoken through my servant the prophet. Heed ye then the admonition of your God. Amen.
